Dr. Ratna Devi, Director Patient Academy for Innovation and Research, Moderated the session on Rare Diseases in Asia-Pacific and the UN Resolution for Rare in 4th APPC 2022 held in Bangkok, Thailand.
India is considered as the world's diabetes capital. Still, we are far behind in addressing this burden in terms of accessibility, affordability, and patient awareness. Our vision of achieving universal health coverage will not be attained unless we think about what patients expect and what their needs are. Education, awareness, and patient empowerment are some of the strategies for combating diabetes, especially type 1 diabetes and the misinformation, misconceptions, and myths surrounding it.
Our study on "Awareness, Knowledge and Practices regarding Patient Safety in People Living with Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in India: A descriptive cross-sectional study" has been selected to present at the International Conference on Healthcare Quality and Patient Safety (Annual NQOCN Conference 2022).
Patient Academy for Innovation and Research has won the "Patient First Awards 2022" for Patient Centricity in Pharma in making patient experiences as easy and accesible as possible by following the steps to be more patient focused.
